چکیده
The Neuropeptide FF receptor family contains two subtypes, NPFF1 and NPFF2 (provisional nomenclature [12]), which exhibit high affinities for neuropeptide (NPFF, O15130) RFamide related peptides (RFRP: precursor gene symbol NPVF, Q9HCQ7). is broadly distributed in the central nervous system with highest levels found limbic hypothalamus. present density superficial layers of mammalian spinal cord where it involved nociception modulation opioid functions.

Targeting neuropeptide receptors for cancer imaging and therapy: perspectives with bombesin, neurotensin, and neuropeptide-Y receptors.
Receptors for some regulatory peptides are highly expressed in tumors. Selective radiolabeled peptides can bind with high affinity and specificity to these receptors and exhibit favorable pharmacologic and pharmacokinetic properties, making them suitable agents for imaging or targeted therapy. The success encountered with radiolabeled somatostatin analogs is probably the first of a long list, a...

model predicts that streptolydigin should trap NTP in the pre-insertion site in such an elongation complex structure. Additionally, this cocrystal would be of great interest because it might reveal a specific role for the trigger loop in nucleotide binding or insertion. Since it is often disordered in RNAP crystal structures, the highly flexible trigger loop has received less attention as a key...
متن کاملNew Antagonist Agents of Neuropeptide Y Receptors
The Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a peptide of 36 amino acids, similar to the peptide YY (PYY) and to the pancreatic polypeptides (PP). At first, separated from the pig brain, the NPY is well-distributed in the mammals at the level of the central and peripheric nervous system. This neurotransmitter is present in strong concentrations in the nervous fiber of the brain, but equally as strong in the hea...
متن کامل[Neuropeptide Y--structure, receptors, effect and its place in psychiatry].
Neuropeptide Y exists in the central nervous system as a co-transmitter, neuromodulator and neurohormone. It effects many processes dependent on the central nervous system. The paper reviews the latest knowledge on the structure and occurrance ofneuropeptide Y, its receptors, agonist and antagonist binding of these receptors. Taking into account its role in psychiatry, the authors concentrated ...
متن کاملII. Regulation of neuropeptide receptors in enteric neurons.
Neuropeptides exert their diverse biological effects by interacting with G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). In this review we address the question, What regulates the ability of a target cell, in particular a neuron, to respond to a neuropeptide? Available evidence from studies of many GPCRs in reconstituted systems and transfected cell lines indicates that much of this regulation occurs at t...
